Peggy Brin, an Arvida Realty associate
and certified luxury home specialist who concentrates
on the Deering Bay and Pinecrest area, says those
prices are a little lower than what was offered by
previous ownership and more in line with prices in
Pinecrest and Coral Gables.
“I think what’s happened is when WCI
took over they became realistic about who they’re
marketing to,” she says. “When Codina
had it, it was marketed to foreign buyers. But it’s
a neighborhood community. Buyers tend to be people
from areas such as Pinecrest and Coral Gables making
lateral moves—giving up some square footage
but moving to a different lifestyle.”
Ms. Brin predicts resale prices at the existing tower
will skyrocket once developer units are gone.
